Funds Still Available for MMTA’s Music Connect Program!

Updated: Dec 13, 2019

Do you have a student whose family has experienced financial hardship through illness, injury, or employment challenges? Have you wanted to accept a new student but had some indication that they may not be able to afford tuition?

If you have encountered any of these scenarios, please consider applying for an MMTA Music Connect Program grant. There are funds available right now and they can be applied to the remainder of the academic year! We sincerely want to see these funds put to productive use for our students.

Last year we granted four scholarships, which were paid to the teachers as tuition reimbursements. We are now accepting new applications for 2020! For more information, visit the MMTA website or contact Alison Barr at musicconnectprogram@mmta.net.

MMTA believes that any child who has musical ability and interest in playing an instrument or singing deserves the opportunity to explore this talent. The MMTA Music Connect Program (MCP) offers music lessons tuition-free to students who have a demonstrated financial need and will study with an MMTA member in good standing. MMTA is thrilled to offer this program to our member teachers and their students! To apply as a Music Connect Program student or to recommend a student for study in your studio, please read thoroughly the Description for MMTA Teachers and the Description for Student’s Parent or Guardian and download the appropriate form to complete your application. Applications can be found on the MMTA website and may be filed and processed at any time during the academic year.
