Teacher Enrichment Travel Grants

A maximum of $2,000 total travel funds will be made available for use by MMTA members for the express use of travel, lodging, and registration for the MTNA National Conference.

Reed Family Teacher Enrichment Fund

In honor of the memory of Irene Reed, esteemed MMTA member and recipient of the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award.  The Reed Family Fund awards a grant to attend the MTNA National Conference, to any MMTA member who has volunteered to serve on the MMTA Board.

Collegiate Member Travel Grants

A grant for MMTA Collegiate Members to attend the MTNA National Conference.

Conferences provide Massachusetts teachers with many wonderful opportunities for growth and support.

MTNA (National):


 

MTNA Enrichment Grants provide financial support of up to $750 for the purpose of professional development, continuing education, or personal/community enrichment.


  1. Teacher Enrichment Grants, to any individual member/non-member

  2. Affiliate Enrichment Grants, to any local or state affiliate

  3. Collegiate Chapter Enrichment Grants, to any collegiate chapter




MTNA Collegiate Travel Grants provide travel stipends ($100) for collegiate students to attend MTNA events.


 

MarySue Harris Studio Teacher Fellowship

This $3,000 grant, funded by the MarySue Harris Endowment Fund, is presented annually to a recently graduated independent teacher who demonstrates commitment to the music teaching profession and outstanding studio development.




Piano Technicians Guild Foundation Scholarship

Any piano teacher who has earned MTNA Professional Certification and uses a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) can apply for this scholarship in the amount of $1,000.






National Piano Foundation Scholarship

MTNA National Conference:  Recreational Music Making (RMM) Teaching Track.

The National Piano Foundation offers a limited number of $500–$750 scholarships to MTNA piano teachers who are interested in learning more about Recreational Music Making (RMM). Learn more.

Program Development Grants provide seed funds of up to $5,000 to any affiliate organization to assist in developing materials to be used for applying for larger funding from other foundations.

Community Engagement Grants provide financial support of up to $750 to any individual, affiliate, or collegiate chapter, and focus on projects that engage the community in making music, appreciating music, or attending live music events.
