Founded in 1960, the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association (MMTA) includes members who are independent music teachers, college faculty members, and public school personnel.
MMTA is the statewide affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), a nonprofit, professional organization dedicated to maintaining standards of excellence among its member teachers.
MMTA funds are used solely to further the art of music: to promote the growth and professional development of its members by providing programs that encourage and support teaching, performance, composition and research.
